Personal · Independent · Studio · Brand
Effective Date: June 5, 2026 · Version 1.0
By downloading, installing, or using this font software ("Product"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. This Agreement, along with your purchase receipt or free download confirmation, constitutes the complete agreement between you ("Licensee") and Monsters of Type ("Foundry").
1. License Types
Your license is determined by the tier you selected at the time of download or purchase. Four tiers are available:

- Studio — Commercial use by 3–15 users within the same team or studio, including use on behalf of clients.
- Brand — In-house commercial use as part of a company's own brand identity, regardless of team size; also required for organizations with 16 or more users.
- Print — books, posters, packaging, apparel, signage

- Renaming or rebranding the font and representing it as original work
2. Allowed Uses (Independent, Studio, and Brand)
All paid tiers cover the same types of use. No extended license, logo license, or surcharge is required for any of the following:
The tier determines who may use the font — not which uses are permitted. All uses listed above are included in every paid tier.
3. Personal License (Free, Non-Commercial)
The Personal license is free and grants you the right to use the font for non-commercial purposes only, including:
The Personal license does not permit:
If your project becomes commercial or is delivered to a paying client, upgrade to the appropriate paid tier before use.
4. Number of Users and Tier Selection
The permitted number of users is defined by your tier: Independent = 1–2 users, Studio = 3–15 users. The Brand tier is required for any company using the font as part of their own brand identity (in-house use), regardless of team size, and for any organization with 16 or more users.
All users must belong to the same company, household, or team. Each person using the font must be covered by the same license or hold a separate one.
A note on client work: A Studio or Independent license covers your use of the font to create work for clients. Your clients receive the finished artwork — not the font software. If a client wants to install and use the font themselves, they need their own license.
5. Third-Party Use
You may temporarily share the font with a collaborator, printer, developer, or service provider working on your behalf, provided that:
The font may not be shared with any other third party outside this arrangement.
6. License Version — Your Purchase is Locked In
The version of this Agreement in effect at the time of your purchase or download governs your use of the Product. Future revisions to this Agreement do not apply retroactively to existing licenses. What you paid for is what you have — permanently.
7. Broadcast and Enterprise Licensing
Large-scale broadcast use (national or worldwide television, streaming platforms, or theatrical distribution) and enterprise agreements require a separate license. Contact us to discuss terms:

8. Restrictions
Regardless of license tier, the following are not permitted:
Converting text to outlines or rasterizing it for use in artwork is always permitted.
9. Copyright
The Product is protected by copyright and contains proprietary information belonging to the Foundry. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or modification is prohibited. You are responsible for ensuring that all users within your license comply with this Agreement.
10. Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with its terms. Upon termination, you must delete all copies of the Product.
11. Product Updates
The Foundry may update the Product from time to time. Updates may be provided free of charge or may require a separate purchase at the Foundry's discretion.
12. Disclaimer and Limited Warranty
The Product is provided "as is." The Foundry warrants the Product to be free from defects for 21 days from the date of purchase or download. If defective, your remedy is limited to replacement or refund of the purchase price. The Foundry makes no other warranties, express or implied.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Foundry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Product, including loss of profits or business interruption. Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations, so they may not apply to you.
